Meet Margaret!

Hi! My name is Margaret Gartlgruber. I am a wife, mother of four grown children, reverted cradle Catholic, and now a writer!

If you are like me, marriage and motherhood took a much different path than expected!

Graduating college and fully expecting to have a career, I thought I would do it all.

Until my first baby was born. And reality was also born.

My feminist heart melted when I realized this truth: I did not want anyone else to take care of my child.

  Telling my husband, his response blew my mind: “You don’t have to go back to work, you know. My mom stayed home with me when I was a kid. It was great! We’ll figure out how to manage.”  

Manage we did, but not without struggles! It has taken me decades to discover the truth.

My worth was not found in my accomplishments, but rather in accepting my place as a daughter of God.
